ROTASIA is an international conference of Rotaractors and Rotaract Clubs in South Asia. It is an international gathering of Rotaractors in the region to exchange information, enchance fellowship, build networks and concentrate ideas and efforts to work together for a common agenda of Rotaractors and youths in general. ROTASIA was first adopted as a bennial regional program in South Asia in 1990. However, that has now been adopted as an annual gathering of Rotaractors in the region. ROTASIA  programs vary according to themes, agendas and participation. But it is generally understood as a 3-4 day conference for Rotaractors with invitees from Rotary. The program focuses on building a forum for Rotaractors with exchanges and discussion on regional cooperation.

Introduction:
Man is a social animal. He lives in a society of interdependence. And man has bestowed with best emotions & feeling which other living beings does not have. Human has the felling of love, affection & sympathy. And with these feelings man always tries to do something for his fellowmen. And this sacred service which is done by one individual or group of individuals for the betterment of the society, in one way or other, is called Social Service. Social service is a very good quality with some people. But each and everybody should culture this habit. A social servant is welcomed everywhere. Because he is the most useful member of the society. He knows his duty towards his society.
Objectives:
Man lives in the society. He learns speech, manners and philosophy in his society. He works and moves in the society. He earns his livelihood in the society. Society gives protection to his life and property. So, everybody should serve the society to the best of his capacity. And to do for the cause of the society for its betterment & upliftment is the duty of each & every individuals. As stated above, Social service is service and facilities provided to common people by the government /richer people or group of peoples for their betterment & upliftment, for example facilities like those of education, free medical teatment, free travel, free clothing etc.
Need & Importance:
Social service is supposed to be the in things in fashion today. However, in a country like India, social service can leave the precincts of fashion and become a very important and long lasting project. In real essence, social service means serving people who are of no personal utility to us. In India where the poor and underprivileged are so many, social service has a great importance and a very large scope too. It is the task of the Government to look after the welfare of all the people of the country but, the Government alone can do precious little. To help the Government in this task social service organizations must be mobilized to work hand in hand with the Government, only then a substantial result may be felt on the ground. The bottleneck in the functioning of the welfare organizations is the finances involved in any work so, if Government is there to allot funds and welfare organizations to do the work, we can achieve a lot. Thus to make the society / nation prosperous & happy one the individuals should work, in little or more as per their strength & powers, for the cause of society. Such society with full utilization of its human recourses always steps forward & always remains prosperous.
Students & Social Services:
In addition to government and social service organizations working towards the goal of social upliftment, one great force in the country can also play very important role for the upliftment of the society. This great force which is an asset of the society is the Student Community. If this community, consists of young people, full of enthusiasm & zeal for the service of the society, is mobilized to help the Government and welfare agencies, the task will become easier and the results will be more tangible. Since the children these days are more alert to their surroundings, they can be used also for mobilizing public opinion for any task given to them. They can also be used in community projects like, helping the villagers in their pace of progress. This will give them a first insight into what India really is, and they will get a sense of achievement by working for their less fortunate brethren. In this way the stock of the urban student community will also improve by imbibing in them the desire to help others. They will learn that, sharing is the best way to progress. Team work and assimilation with the rural community will become added qualities infused in the younger generation, and we will have achieved our goals of service their magnum support.
In the villages, the students can take up massive cleanliness projects, and teach the rural people the necessity of keeping clean, which will automatically lead them to better health standards. In doing this they will also develop the thought of dignity of labor which is sadly lacking in us Indians.
Thus, if the society take into confidence, the student community, and share the problems with them, I am sure they have a great potential of helping us out of the wilderness of illiteracy, health hazards etc. We can take examples of students sharing the social service projects in other countries like Russia and China. If those countries can take the help of their students why can’t we think of it? The students are a tremendous force which, if mobilized, can do magic to our forlorn projects. Besides their helping us, they will also feel all the better for it. In the bargain they will learn a lot, do a lot, and achieve a lot. In this way while they are still students, they will be joining the bandwagon of social workers and participating effective.

Dear fellow Interactors
Itr. Anit Thapaliya
I am thrilled and honored to be this year's President of the Interact Club of Pashupati Kathmandu. Three years ago I was invited to join an organization that I hoped would open the pathways and portals to serving my community and beyond. I was searching for a way to utilize some of my free time in helping others and to become more involved in my community. The Interact Club of Pashupati proved to be my answer. In addition to enjoying the weekly meetings, the guest speakers and the warm member comradeship, I have found tremendous satisfaction and reward in serving others through our numerous club activities.

A fellow Interacters once said "Strangers are simply friends we haven't met yet".There years ago I stepped into a room of mostly strangers; today I enjoy a vastly expanded room of friends, joined together through a shared commitment to serving others and  making the Pashupati community and beyond a better place for all.

Here, i would like to thank IPP Itr.Manoj Paudel & his whole team for the successfull completion of his tenure. similarly i would also like to thank IPP of both rotary & rotract club of pashupati for their kind supports.

Finally, as you can see we are very active & committed to the needs of our community as well as our members. if you are looking for place to feel valued by others & make a true difference in the community and the world. Please join us...

Lastly, Many thanks to the friends, family & community that belived in us.
